Hi, I’m Sichen, a final year Machine Learning PhD student at Georgia Tech.

My PhD research focuses on multimodal generative AI for scientific applications. More broadly, I am interested in, and have experience developing, multimodal generative models (including pretraining and post-training), vision-language models, and AI agents.

At Georgia Tech, I am affiliated with Qiu Lab and fortunate to work with many incredible collaborators on frontier AI. Before Georgia Tech, I earned a BS in Honors Mathematics from NYU Shanghai, where I worked with Prof. Hanghui Chen on condensed matter physics.
